1. The service
Chat Awards is an independent entertainment tool that analyses supported chat-export files in your browser. It is not affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta. Access is currently free, with no purchases or subscriptions.
2. Appropriate use
Only analyse chats you are entitled to access. Do not use the results to harass, expose, profile or target another person. Before sharing quotes or results, respect participants' privacy, expectations and any relevant legal obligations.
3. Humour and statistical limitations
All awards are for amusement. The underlying counts are calculated from the file supplied, which may be partial or incorrectly formatted. The service does not objectively measure humour, truthfulness, emotional attachment, relationship quality, mental health or compatibility.
4. File and device safety
The app processes chat exports locally. You are responsible for the source and safety of files you select, and for storing or deleting any results you download. The application is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability or perfect results.
5. Sharing and intellectual property
The product design and code remain with their respective owner. You retain whatever rights and responsibilities you have over your uploaded material. Do not assume a screenshot or result card is safe to publish without the other participants' agreement.
6. Operator information
Chat Awards is operated by Will. For enquiries, contact chatawardsfeedbackemail@gmail.com. These basic terms describe the current free service and should be reviewed if the business model or data handling changes.
