What the application processes
If you select a chat export, the browser reads its text and derives message statistics, timestamps, displayed sender names and optional quote excerpts. Data stays in memory for the current page session; there is no chat database or local-storage history.
What we receive
We do not collect, upload or store your chat transcript. Your web host (Cloudflare) may process normal network metadata associated with visiting the site, such as IP addresses, request paths and security events. This statement does not assert that Cloudflare has no logs or cookies.
Cookies and analytics
The application itself does not set tracking cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled on this website: its browser beacon measures page views and performance. It does not receive, read or store the contents of your chat exports. This edition also counts predefined usage events such as analyses completed, awards copied and quiz starts. The event request contains only the event name and a group/1-to-1 mode label, with no chat contents, names, filenames, timestamps or session identifiers. Cloudflare can still process standard HTTP request metadata.
Saved and shared results
When you download an award PNG or summary report, the generated file remains on your own device. Award images include chat-awards.com branding. Each receipt has a deliberate Copy button that places the redacted quote, author, date and site URL on your clipboard; it is not automatically shared. Names, aggregate counts and award descriptions can still reveal information about other people. Quote receipts can reveal personal data even after automatic masking; check carefully before sharing or displaying.
How long data remains available
Analysis data exists in your open browser tab while you use the dashboard. Closing, reloading or starting a new analysis drops it from the app's memory. This does not delete files you downloaded yourself or files you originally uploaded from.
Security and limitations
No server-side transcript processing and a restrictive content security policy reduce unnecessary exposure. A lightweight serverless endpoint accepts only predefined usage events. This is not a guarantee against browser vulnerabilities or malicious device extensions. Chat parsing and private-information masking are best-effort. We recommend exporting without media.
Other people's privacy
A chat export may contain messages from other individuals. You are responsible for considering their privacy and obtaining any permission or lawful basis required before publishing or otherwise distributing results.
