Does Chat Awards upload my messages?
No. Files are read and analysed in your browser using JavaScript. They are not submitted to a backend or an AI provider. The host still receives ordinary requests to serve the website itself.
Can I analyse a chat with just one other person?
Yes. Choose 1-to-1 Chat Analysis, which uses different awards and stats about how two people message each other.
What types of exports work?
TXT and ZIP exported from WhatsApp, and CSV with date, sender and message columns. iPhone and Android formats are supported, but some unusual exports may need date-format adjustment.
Does the app know who is actually funniest?
No. Comedy awards use detectable laughter or reaction-like text close to another person’s message. It is a game, not objective proof of humour or personality.
Can it tell whether someone likes me?
No. Texting frequency, reply timing and double texts cannot measure affection, attachment, intent or romantic compatibility.
Why are some messages missing?
WhatsApp text exports omit actual media, and deleted, edited or missing messages cannot be reconstructed. System events are excluded from message counts.
What happens when I close the tab?
The app has no persistent chat storage. Closing or refreshing the tab clears the in-memory analysis. Any report or PNG you explicitly downloaded remains on your device.
Can I share a dashboard with my friends?
You can share the site link without sharing any chat content, save or share branded award images, copy a receipt with its author/date/site URL, or download a text report. They may contain names and sensitive inferences. Actual quote receipts should only be shown or shared after checking them and respecting the people involved.
Does it work with iMessage, Telegram or Instagram?
Not as a direct import in this version. If you can convert a conversation to the supported CSV format, you may be able to analyse it; platform-specific exporters are not implemented.
How much does it cost?
The current version is free. There are no accounts, subscriptions or payments.
